IN THE MATTER OF the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006, S.O. 2006, c.29, in particular sections 14 and 21;

AND IN THE MATTER OF Zoravar Hanjrah (also known as Zoravar Singh).

 

ORDER TO REFUSE APPLICATION

On March 19, 2018, Zoravar Hanjrah (also known as Zoravar Singh) submitted an application for a Mortgage Agent Licence under the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006 (the “Act”).

On March 18, 2019, the Superintendent of Financial Services (“Superintendent”) issued a Notice of Proposal to refuse Mr. Hanjrah’s licence application.

On June 8, 2019, the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario assumed the regulatory duties of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (the “Chief Executive Officer”) assumed the regulatory duties of the Superintendent, under the Act.

The Registrar of the Tribunal confirmed on April 8, 2019 that no request for hearing had been made by Mr. Hanjrah or anyone acting on their behalf.

ORDER

The mortgage agent application of Zoravar Hanjrah (also known as Zoravar Singh) is hereby refused.
