Pension Services Portal (PSP) Update

The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) is in the process of updating the PSP to add a "Contacts" menu. This will allow Pension Plan Administrators and/or their third parties/agents to update organizations’ contact information. This will allow users to add, modify and remove organizations; and edit/remove contact person’s information.
 
Note: The "Delegation" function on the PSP will not be affected by the addition of the Contacts menu.  A Pension Plan Administrator is still required to "Delegate/Revoke" access to their pension plan(s) on the PSP.
 
In preparation for this new feature on the PSP, effective August 1, 2015, certain sections of the following filings will become permanently non-editable:
 
Annual Information Return – for all pension plans registered with FSCO:
 
  • Plan Administrator;
  • Plan Sponsor;
  • Pension Fund Trustee (Including Insurance Company);
  • Custodian (Organization Holding Pension Fund Assets); and
  • Collective Bargaining Agent.
Pension Benefits Guarantee Fund Assessment Certificate – for pension plans that are not registered with FSCO:
 
  • Plan Administrator;
  • Plan Sponsor; and,
  • Pension Fund Trustee (Including Insurance Company).
We will inform you when this new feature becomes available on the PSP.  Once the new Contacts menu is available, we will no longer accept these types of updates in paper format (for example, letter, fax, etc.).

 

In the interim, you can continue to submit contact information updates related to organizations, in paper format.
