ORDER
ON OR ABOUT September 26, 2007, the Superintendent of Financial Services (the “Superintendent”) issued a Notice of Proposal (the “NOP”) in respect of the Public Service Alliance of Canada Pension Plan, Registration Number 0512624, (the “Plan”) (reported at Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) website, Pension e-Bulletin, January 2008, Volume 17, Issue 1) to the Public Service Alliance of Canada (“PSAC”).
A REQUEST FOR HEARING before the Financial Services Tribunal (the “Tribunal”) was filed by PSAC on or about October 25, 2007.
ON February 14, 2008, the Tribunal convened a pre-hearing conference. The Alliance Employees’ Union was granted party status at the pre-hearing conference.
ON October 8, 2008, PSAC withdrew the hearing request.
For the reasons set out in the NOP, I ORDER that the registration of Amendment 2006-3 to the Plan effective January 1, 2006, is revoked under section 18(1)(e) of the PBA.
